El Padre Mario Vizcaino, el primer director de SEPI, estará con nosotros el lunes, el 9 de noviembre a las 7.30 de la tarde para hablar con jóvenes y jóvenes adultos sobre la formación de la conciencia. Este tema debe ser de interés para todos porque siempre nos enfrentamos con decisiones difíciles. Muchas veces la sociedad nos dice que tal cosa esta bien pero la iglesia nos dice que no. ¿Qué debemos hacer? ¿Cómo sé si algo es bueno o malo?
Todos están invitados a participar.

The Internal Struggle Between Good and Evil
Father Mario Vizcaino, former director of SEPI, will be visited and giving a talk Monday, November 9 at the 7:30 p.m. to youth and young adults about forming ones conscience. This topic should be of interest to everyone since we are all confronted with difficult decisions on a daily basis. Many times society tells us that a certain thing is right and the Church tells us otherwise. What are we to do? How do we know what is right and what is wrong?

GRAN CONCIERTO Y RETIRO

El sábado 22 de agosto se llevó a cabo un gran concierto y retiro con la cantante Mexicana Ge’la. El gimnasio de Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary en Lexington se llenó de personas de todas edades. La música de Ge’la no solo anima a personas sino es música de alabanza a Dios y testimonio de la vida de Ge’la. Durante el día hubo predicación por varios miembros del equipo del ministerio hispano y sacerdotes que sirven a la comunidad hispana.
La misa de clausura fue ofrecida por el obispo Monseñor Ronald Gainer con música del grupo de musicos de la parroquia de San Leo en Cincinnati, Ohio.
GRAND CONCERT AND RETREAT
August 22, 2009
A grand concert and retreat took place August 22 at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary in Lexington featuring the Mexican singer Ge'la. The gymnasium was filled with persons of all ages. Ge'la's music not only enlivening and encouraging, it is in praise and honor of God full of her personal testimony. Throughout the day there was also preaching from members of the Hispanic ministry team and priests who serve the hispanic community.
The day ended with the Mass being celebrated by Bishop Ronald Gainer with music provided by musicians from the Hispanic community of St. Leo the Great in Cincinnati, OH.

El coordinador del ministerio para jóvenes hispanos ofrece dos retiros al año para jovencitas quienes planean celebrar sus quince años con una Misa. El 29 de agosto se reunieron 5 señoritas con sus padres y los jóvenes que las van a acompañar en esta celebración. El propósito del retiro es: que las jóvenes sepan el significado de la celebración, que reconozcan la responsabilidad de ser una jovencita Cristiana, que comiencen a pensar de su futuro, y preparar a todos para la Misa que van a tener. Además de los temas que se dan, hay dinámicas y cantos muy animados. 15 year old Retreat

The Hispanic Ministry Youth Coordinator sponsored a retreat for girls planning to celebrate their 15th birthday with a Mass. Saturday, 29 of August, five girls with their parents and young people that will accompany them, attended an all day retreat. The retreat objects are: to make the girls aware of the significance of this celebration, to help them recognize their responsibility as young Christian women, to help them begin to think about the future, and to prepare them for the Mass they will have. In addition to the talks that are given, their are group activities and very lively singing.
